Driving to and from work is a twice daily affirmation of my loss of faith with humanity. Houstonians are idiots when it comes to driving, and I feel as if they wake up in the morning and take stupid pills before they get on the road. OK people there's congestion on the road, so you can't be zipping around at 80 mph and be surprised when you rear end someone. With that said, I'd appreciate it if you also wouldn't go 10 mph, because then I'll just hate you forever. I am not in the mood at 7:20 to be playing driving games. For instance, today as I was trying to merge on a ramp, this Ford Explorer (with a huge dent in the back mind you), saw I had my blinker on and sped up to my blind spot and WOULDN'T ACCELERATE until I started inching in. If you want to be ahead of me fine, but move so I can get over. And then once I move over after a hole Explorer decides to finally go he decides to slam on his brakes, and I have to move over to the shoulder so I don't cause an accident. I seriously play with my life every morning and afternoon. No wonder people lose years of their lives by just commuting.
With that said, I'd much rather deal with this than Oklahoma driving in general. Texan drivers are very aggressive, I will admit to that, but Oklahoma makes up for the too cautious driving. I have never in my life seen yield signs on an entrance ramp, until I moved to Oklahoma. People would literally stop and wait for cars to go by until they decide to merge. That to me is extremely dangerous, and those wonderful people at the JCC told me that is NOT what to do when entering a freeway. Also I have never seen "Minimum speed" on an interstate until I moved to Oklahoma. You have to think that the reason those signs are up there is because there are actual people going 30 mph in a 70 mph zone. What?!

GMAT
So earlier in life, I believe someone got picked on really badly and decided to introduce entrance exams to the world. Here's the thing, I'd like to think of myself as a smart person, but I hate HATE admissions exams. Who in the world thought of that? They absolutely suck! When else am I going to use Geometry? I'm going to Business school for goodness sakes!
But since this is a requirement in order to receive an acceptance letter, I have to grin and bear it, or just bear it. So this time around, since I am not the best test taker, I spent $1,000 on a prep course. Thank God it was worth it. (Though we'll see, my official test is this weekend) There were a couple things I learned while taking this class:
1. I was the only girl in the class, which brought on some laughs about how the rest of my life is going to be one big sausage fest. Awesome..
2. We are never too old for candy. A way they bribe us or keep us alert during the class, is to throw candy at us. I heard in high school that's what they did with the SAT classes, and I was like surely they won't do this with us, since we're adults and would not be as candy obsessive. Well I was wrong, considering we were all candy obsessive and could not wait to see what the candy of the day was, as if we were addicts.
3. Speaking of addicts, the classes were held in the sketchiest hotel ever! A Motel 6 would have been high class compared to this dump. Something in the bathroom was leaking into our room, crack heads would literally walk into our classroom and chill with us, Ceiling tiles looked as if they were going to fall on us due to water damage, I mean yikes. Oh and how can I forget about the shopping cart collection that was going on in the corner of the parking lot.

Good morning World!
I used to blog about my study abroad adventures, but I had to come back, graduate, and do "adult" things, like move out of Oklahoma and find a job. Just a 20 something year old with her first starter job, living with her parents, readjusting to non college society, and living life. Trust me my life is not all too fascinating, but I would like to get back to blogging, since this time is apparently a pretty important time in my life, and I might as well document it. Carpe Diem right? (I hate the term, "YOLO." ) I just hope these posts won't be as embarrassing as my xanga posts documenting my high school life. : P. Not like anyone is reading this. Haha.
